We are truly thankful to long time Lace Up For Change (LU4C) Supporter Zulphar Muller Arendse. Zulphar, a The Foschini Group (TFG) Club subscriber, recently won a TFG Club Cares competition and nominated LU4C as the recipient of a R10 000 Club Cares donation.
This wonderful gift will be used towards empowering two teachers and two teaching assistants at Dietrich Moravian Primary School with Basic Computer Literacy courses (Windows, Office, Internet & Email).
Almost one year ago, LU4C and Syntel Pty Ltd unveiled a new computer lab at the school (https://lu4c.org.za/lu4c-unveils-a-new-computer-lab/). The skills that the teachers learn in these courses will enable the school to launch community programs – offering FREE computer literacy training to unemployed residents of the Phillipi area.
The LUFC Crew visited Dietrich Moravian Primary School to share this blessed news with principal Liesl Fisher and her team. As usual, celebrations at a school cannot take place without the obligatory Weetbix breakfast being served to learners and staff.
